[2024 Samurai Chajin Hosts] Uji Tea Event in March

The March “What a tea!” The theme for the event is “ume” (Japanese apricot).
They are not as showy as cherry blossoms, but they can be seen for a longer period of time and are blooming beautifully just this time of year.
This time, we would like to introduce non-alcoholic cocktails using such ume and tea.
Let’s start with a matcha-based one.

Shiso leaves are floated on matcha.

The hojicha tea has the aroma of plums and shiso in your mouth.
This time’s sweets are sweet plums made in Tsukigase, Nara, rolled in shiso leaves and soaked in sugar. It is very delicious with tea.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, March 2, from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Kyoto Prefecture Tea Association Center located next to the Uji Takumi no Yakata.
