On Saturday, October 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Uji tea event “What a tea! will be held at the Kyoto Prefecture Tea association center (located next to the Takumi-no-Kan).
This time, there will be a Koto (Japanese stringed instrument) performance and a cardboard Shamisen (three-stringed musical instrument) making workshop.
The theme of the koto performance will be “The Tale of Genji”.
As usual, there will be hojicha (roasted green tea) making, genmai-cha (brown rice tea) making, hand-moiled tea, Samurai Chajin tea sales, and a flea market of tea utensils, so please come and join us!
