The 2nd Samurai Chajin event has ended.

On Tuesday, 5/2/2023, Uji tea event was held at Kyoto Prefectural Tea Industry Hall (next to Takumi no Yakata).
The theme of the event was “Hojicha (roasted green tea) making”.
On the same day, “Uji Shincha 88 Night Tea Picking Gathering” was held at the Ujicha-Kaikan near Taiyo-gaoka, where there were various hands-on events such as picking new tea leaves, hot plate tea making, and tea brewing, but there was no hojicha making event, so we decided to do this.

We also decided to try the location on the first floor instead of the second floor of the previous room.

The venue was filled with the delicious aroma of hojicha tea.

The resulting hojicha was brewed at the performance. Many people enjoyed the event as flyers were distributed at the Ujicha-Kaikan event site.

On the second floor, there was an exhibition of dried flowers by @jcotton.yu. He used tea trees and leaves, but actually he used tea branches from Samurai Chajin’s farm. We would like to collaborate with various people in the future.
